1.3   AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

        The main aim of the study is to determine the impact of human resources on the performance of government establishment. Other specific objectives of the study include;

  1. to determine the factors affecting human resource management and its effect on the performance of government establishment.
  2. to determine the extent to which human resources affects the performance of government establishment.
  3. To determine the influence of human resources on the performance of government establishment.
  4. to proffer possible solutions to the problems.

1.5   STATEMENT OF RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS

HO:   Human resource has no significant effect on the performance of government establishment.

HI:    Human resource has a significant effect on the performance of government establishment.

1.6   SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

        The study on the impact of human resources on the performance of government establishment will be of immense benefit to the entire ministry of finance Lagos state in the sense that create a favorable working environment for the employees by the establishment through the HR which will encourage them to give out their very best at work this is because in a way the environment is related with mind and sound position of the company. Finally, the study will contribute to the body of existing literature and knowledge to this field of study and basis for further research.

1.7   SCOPE OF THE STUDY

        The study on the impact of human resources on the performance of government establishment is limited to the ministry of finance, Lagos state.

1.8   LIMITATION OF THE STUDY

Financial constraint- Insufficient fund tends to impede the efficiency of the researcher in sourcing for the relevant materials, literature or information and in the process of data collection (internet, questionnaire and interview).

Time constraint- The researcher will simultaneously engage in this study with other academic work. This consequently will cut down on the time devoted for the research work.

1.9   DEFINITION OF TERMS

Impact:   A marked effect or influence.

Human Resource:   Is also the function in an organization that deals with the people and issues related to people such as compensation and benefits, recruiting and hiring employees, on boarding employees, performance management, training, and organization development and culture.

Performance: The action or process of performing a task or function.

Establishment:       A business organization, public institution, or household.
